Our servers are located in first class datacenter in Atlanta, GA, USA. The facility contains everything needed to ensure your mission-critical Internet operation is functioning at the highest perfomance levels. A full list of features/services in usage in the Datacenter are found below.

HostForWeb operates a single, highly secure, state-of-the-art Internet Data Center (IDC). Located on the 4th floor of the 56 Marietta Street facility in the heart of the technology sector in downtown Atlanta Georgia. This building is strictly a carrier hotel and is the largest POP in the Southeast providing access to most of the IP network providers operating contenential United States. This facility basically serves as the NAP for the Southeast without carrying that official title.

Locating our IDC in this facility has allowed HostForWeb to take advantage of the infrastructure already available in the building.
  • Redundant Power Feeds
  • 3 30 Ton Leibert AC Units
  • 4 Full Duplex, GigE, Layer 3 Ethernet IP backbone Circuits
  • Raised Floor
  • 24x7x365 Onsite Staffing
  • 24x7x365 Guarded Facility
  • Environmental-Control Units
  • Fire-suppression Systems
  • CPI 19" Heavy Duty Open Telephony Racks
  • Secure Data Cabinets Including Fan Tray, Roll Out Shelving and Twist Lock Power Strips

Additional information on the features the building provides HFW and its customers, including an online virtual tour can be accessed at the buildings website: www.56marietta.com .

DATA CENTER FEATURES

HFW has spared no expense deploying the hardware and network infrastructure required to support the mission critical applications of our data center customers. Unlike many collocation companies that have incurred huge expenses deploying and maintaining their own IP backbones, Datacenter has taken advantage of the large number of providers with POP's already installed in the 56 Marietta Street facility. We have leveraged these options to provide the best price and the network diversity required to support a 100% uptime guarantee.

By deploying this strategy and partnering with companies that have the capability of managing the complexities and expenses of a worldwide IP network, we have been able to eliminate the transport charges typical with dedicated IP Internet access. This has made our services offerings extremely affordable for the level of redundancy we provide.

Our strategy is simple but effective.
Within the IDC we house a redundant Cisco 12008 GSR platform. That platform serves as the core gateway that routes your traffic to and from our upstream IP network providers. We currently have 4 GigE Layer 3 circuits installed into this core routing platform. We never preference one network over another but allow BGP to pick and choose on the fly the most efficient way to route your traffic at any given point in time. If there are ever any problems with any IP network provider we have sufficient capacity in place to turn down the GigE interface to that specific upstreams backbone. At that point BGP will reroute the traffic over the remaining 3 connections while our network engineers work with the upstream provider to pinpoint and correct the problem. Since we have such a large number of IP network providers to choose from within the facility we can change providers, usually within a week, if any single provider fails to meet the agreed upon performance objectives established between our companies when the circuit was initially turned and tested.

The Cisco 12008 routers interface to our Foundry Big Iron 4000 customer aggregating platform using redundant Cisco GigE switches. Each customer, no matter their size is provide a secure, routed, VLAN port at either 100BaseT or GigE delivered directly into their collocated hardware platform. The Foundry aggregation point has the ability to handle BGP peering sessions for those customers that have thier own ARIN IP and AS number assignments, all MAC addressing requirements and any bandwidth caps you might want to institute on your HFW connectivity. Additionally we can provide dual homed connectivity to your collocated platform if required.

Datacenter also has its own independent AS numbers and a Full class B IP assignment making our network connectivity as solid and as flexible as today's technology will allow. This provides large and small customers alike the best and most stable network connectivity the industry has to offer, often a fraction of the cost of doing business with the large collocation facilities.

Additionally, we allow our customers to contract for IP backbone connectivity from any provider of their choosing. We have the facilities in place to cross-connect and deliver to your collocated platform any inbound telephony or IP network capability from the vendor of your choice.
